Edith is 12 years old and lives with her mom, brother, grandmother, two aunts and a cousin in a small rented house. Her father left the family seven years ago to come to the USA looking for a better future, but they never heard from him again. Her mother is a hard-working lady who owned a small lunch eatery, but due to the crime (extortions and a ransom attempt) they had to move to El Tejar, a small and very poor village, where they struggle to get the resources they need to pay for their basic needs. She’s been applying for public education for 2016, but there is no more room for her in the local school. Despite her hard situation, Edith has proven to be willing to succeed, and with a 3.0 GPA, she’s ready to start our program in 2016. We’re very excited to be able to help her continue her education, and we want to see her pursue her dream to become a teacher and help others just like her.
Be a part of Edith's bright future...
